spray painting wooden eggs in pastel

Decorating wooden eggs can be an exciting way to elevate your Easter celebrations this year. Step away from the store-bought decorations and start crafting! Not only is it incredibly cost-effective, but you can also use any colour combination you like. I’ve chosen to spray paint with pastel colours for a classic pretty easter look. To elevate your eggs add speckles in super easily with the flick of a paintbrush. And the best part is that these eggs are reusable and easy to repaint year after year. If you’re feeling brave, you can let the kiddo’s help you decorate some eggs as a fun Easter holiday activity or sit down with a glass of fizz and let your creative juices flow as a much needed time away from the screen!

hand painting eggs

Make your guests feel extra special by adding a personalised touch to your place setting. I’ve added my Easter guests name by using black paint and my neatest handwriting. If you’re calligraphy skills aren’t quite up to scratch, you can add initials to your egg with gold stickers. You don’t need to be super neat with this! It’s the thought that counts. You will end with an egg that is definitely one of a kind and completely personalised!

Folding a napkin into a bunny

Tying it all together is simple with your fave napkin! (Mine are from the Conran Shop) With just a few simple folds, even the most novice of napkin folders can be confident in their ability to transform an ordinary napkin into a charming bunny! In terms of folding technique, it requires a bit of skill and patience, but when done correctly results in a seemingly complicated look that will impress guests at your next gathering! Fold your napkin into a triangle and then fold into a one and a half inch strip. TOP TIP: For a crisp finish run over the napkin with an iron to keep the folds for longer and neat edge!!

Easter Bunny Napkin

To complete your Easter place setting, place your decorated egg into the centre on your folded napkin. Tie it off with a luxurious ribbon. Get creative with your colours and add a bit of your personality here, I’ve chosen a blue velvet ribbon to compliment my napkins! This is your DIY easter place setting complete!

plate layering

Ditch the boring white dinner tables by layering different textures and designs. I love to take creative control with this and take my time creating the perfect tablescape. I always consider this when I am designing my tableware products and ensure that all my pieces work perfectly together as well as when used alone. For Easter I have chosen my slogan plates as I love the pastels this time of year! I have also added to my table an easter egg centrepiece and spring florals to really make my table bloom!
