La Gioiosa X Yvonne Ellen Prosecco Rose DOC Millesimato 75cl
For Spring 2022, Yvonne Ellen has collaborated with La Gioiosa on a Limited-Edition Prosecco Rosé Millesimato to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Yvonne chose her childhood pair of pet budgies - Paul and Simon - to appear on the Limited-Edition label alongside a bright green parakeet - a breed that can be found in abundance just by Buckingham Palace in London's Hyde Park. Yvonne has even dressed her birds ready to party for the jubilee celebrations!
The flowers on the special Prosecco Rosé bottle are fantastical versions of some of the many beautiful species native to Italy - where La Gioiosa is made. You'll even spot the leaves of the Glera and Pinot Nero grapevines, which are used to create this pretty and premium pink fizz.
La Gioiosa Prosecco Rosé is the perfect drink to share with and gift to loved ones. With street parties and royal birthday themed dinners on the cards for local communities and tight-knit neighbourhoods, there will be plenty of opportunities for generations of families and groups of friends to raise a glass together during the anniversary Bank Holiday and into the summer.
The Prosecco Rosé presents itself revealing a pomegranate nuance edged with soft pink refections. The nose is subtle and fresh, offering hints of small red fruits. Notes of rose and pomegranate complete this elegant and intense aromatic profile. On the palate, it is silky and full, presenting a very pleasant balance between the fruity and floral notes.
La Gioiosa is one of Italy's leading Prosecco producers. Based in Treviso in the heart of 'Prosecco country', La Gioiosa has consistently won awards across the globe and its quality wines are enjoyed my many. The winemaker freezes the Prosecco must prior to fermentation to ensure maximum freshness upon bottling. Its name pays tribute to the old definition of the province of Treviso, "Marca gioiosa et amorosa" (Joyous and Amorous March) underlining the sociable lifestyle of its inhabitants.
Whole white grapes are put into the pneumatic press for soft pressing and the resulting must, after a first racking, is put into controlled temperature tanks where it remains until it is used for the production of the sparkling wine. The red grapes, after pressing, are put into tanks where a soft maceration for extraction of colour and a few tannins takes place at a controlled temperature of 22-23°C. At the same time the aroma is enhanced.
