If you're thinking of painting plates...read this
Here are some of the things I’ve learned along the way, if you’re keen to give plate painting a go ☺️
It's true!! Vintage plates are perfect for practicing and you can find something in pretty much any charity shop!
There's no shame in using tracing paper if you need to!
Streaky is okay - we love the hand-painted look
Too many colours can make things muddy so limit your palette
There's plenty of time to correct your mistakes! The ceramic paints from amazon are pretty easy to rub out to fix any splodges
You don't have to aim for perfection, slightly wonky bits make it interesting and unique
Heat fix that design and ta daaaa!
