I'm back with some more xmas food inspo, this time the recipe went VIRAL!
This is the perfect Christmas appetiser...
I know what you’re thinking… what do I make for festive nibbles this year or HOW have I ever hosted a Christmas gathering without this?!
Today I'll be talking you through how to make a Feta, Cucumber and Basil Christmas Tree.
Of course this isn’t a substitute for the essential Indian snack selection BUT it could be a nice addition right?!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cucumber
1 block of feta
A handful of red and yellow cherry tomatoes
Fresh basil leaves
A small square cookie cutter
A small star cookie cutter
Honey
Edible Glitter
First, chop up your cucumber so they're in circles, about 2cm thick.
Use a small square cookie cutter to cut out the middle (perfect to snack on whilst you're making btw) and place the cucumber circles aside.
Take the same cookie cutter and cut up your feta, the feta cubes should fit in the cucumber circles perfectly!
Arrange your feta and cucumber circles into the shape of a christmas tree (I had 19 circles fyi).
Half your cherry tomatoes to make your baubles and place on your cucumber tree.
Place some basil leaves on for extra decoration, use a star cookie cutter to cut out a star from a carrot slice, place on top of your tree and then drizzle with honey.
I added some glitter to make it extra special and festive!
