I’ve picked up some lovely spring/summer homeware and décor and wanted to show you all how I styled everything!
This week I found myself back in IKEA – personally I’m blaming the strange weather, but I was just loving the amount of colour I found. I’ve picked up some lovely spring/summer homeware and décor and wanted to show you all how I styled everything! (You can watch the reel here...)
First up is the GRÅMÖRT, I used this woven tray as a replacement for placemats in the middle of my alfresco dining table. I thought the neutral colour complimented the pastels in my vinegar and oil pourers, my lobster jug, the parakeet cake server and my gorgeous hi ball glasses perfectly.
Then I found these TESAMMANS pink and yellow candle holders (which can definitely be doubled up as pencil holders etc) that were ideal for creating a cozy vibe, especially at a dinner table. I’m a sucker for a candle for a dinner party tablescape and I especially love the simplicity of the design. Again, the colours worked so well with my animal dinner plates, animal pasta bowls and my gorgeous shell serving bowl.
Another TESAMMANS item but this time it was the most stunning colour blue carafe, but again it can be used for so many different things like another candle holder or a small vase, which is what we all love about IKEA!
Next, I picked up this charming pink STRANDFLOKA table runner. I love the hints of different colours and thought it was a top-notch finishing touch to my afternoon tea table. The cream and pink complimented my floral range very nicely.
Finally, a classic staple for summer drinks and cocktails, the LUFTTAT metal straws with a handy little cleaner, no more having to get the lipgloss off my glass. I love the sustainability of these straws, especially as I find them to be long-lasting. Look how nicely the gold one goes with my sausage doggie glass!
Let's not kid ourselves, I will probably end up back in IKEA quite soon to find some more homeware and decor, if not to buy then definitely for some homestyling inspo! Especially if the sun continues to play hiding games...
