It is no secret that I am not a baker! But since launching my new kitchenware range I’ve been encouraged to take to the kitchen and try my hand and some simple bakes! Being a mum of two boys I need recipes that are fast and fool proof, but still satisfy that sweet craving. With only five ingredients and a few simple steps, this quick and tasty treat will hit the spot in no time!
These easy chocolate chip cookies were gone in no time! Between my two young boys and peeps in the office, 25 cookies didn’t last long. Time for a new batch I reckon!
Ingredients…
225g softened butter
110g golden caster sugar
275g plain flour
1 tsp cinnamon or other spices (optional)
75g milk or white chocolate chips (optional)
Step 1
Heat the oven to 190C/170C fan/Gas 5. Cream the butter with a spatula or wooden spoon in a large bowl until it is soft. Add the sugar and keep beating until the mixture is light and fluffly. Sift in the flour and, if you’re using them, add the optional ingredients. Bring the mixture together with your hands to form a dough.
If you’re super organised you can freeze the dough at this point and save it for another day…
Step 2
TAH DAH!!
